Shared Hosting
How Shared Hosting is working and what is Shared Hosting
The Shared Hosting, better known as “Shared Hosting” is the type of hosting more inexpensive and commercially. Its name derives from the fact that on a server hosting multiple domains. In a nutshell, you purchase a hosting on a server where they are hosted many web sites (sometimes hundreds).
This type of hosting as mentioned earlier, is one of the most common types of hosting and municipalities because of the very affordable price, accessible to most users. Of course, it is a viable option only for those sites and runs low to moderate traffic, which do not require dedicated hardware.
The disadvantages of shared hosting, mainly concern the possibility that there will be slowdown in loading pages, most often caused by the large number of sites hosted on web servers and / or inability of the server having to face high loads work.
On the other hand, shared hosting at a cost of just € per month (or year) is an excellent solution for medium and small sites that need to be initiated or launched for the first time on the Internet that do not require special and excessive waste of resources (databases, scripts, etc.).
The only real problem with shared hosting is if the web host oversells. Overselling means the host has put too many sites on one server. A good server usually has at least a gigabyte of memory, but if thousands of sites have to fight it out for memory, CPU cycles, and bandwidth, it means all the sites will be slow. Fortunately, any good host will prevent this from becoming a problem in the first place.
This site, and all my sites are currently using shared hosting. I haven’t had any problems with overselling. If you stick with a good hosting provider shared hosting will most likely work well for you too, allowing you to host your website for very little cost.
